Every visit is a full 60-minute session with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Your therapist is with you the entire time—no assistants, no hand-offs, and no split attention.

Who i am
I’m Matt Hrvol and I’m proud to call Iowa home. I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy and NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Graduating from University of Iowa in 2016, I began my career in Chicago, where I spent three years working in orthopedic sports medicine. In 2019, I returned to the Iowa City area to bring modern, strength-focused rehab to the Iowa City community.
Over the years, I’ve pursued advanced certifications to ensure patients receive the most effective, evidence-based care possible. These include:

My areas of experience include assessment and treatment of all musculoskeletal conditions, with an emphasis on Powerlifting, Olympic lifting, CrossFit, overhead athletes, and performance training. I love helping people bridge the gap between rehab and performance. My goal is simple: get you out of pain, moving better, and back to doing what you love—stronger than before.

Day 1: Full-body movement, strength, motor control and mobility assessment
Day 2: Instruction on a personalized independent 4-week plan including mobility/warm up drills, specific corrective exercises, and programmed strength and conditioning routines
Day 3+: Ongoing follow-ups and progressions to keep advancing toward your goals
